The subject of Anatomy is one of the basic subjects of medical sciences which is taught in the first and second year of MBBS program. The courses within the domain of Anatomy include General Anatomy, Histology or Microscopic Anatomy, Embryology or Developmental Anatomy, Regional or Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. The department aims to evolve as a modern integrated teaching system for students. The teaching hours are in accordance with the recommendations of PMDC and SZABMU. The teaching methodologies include large group interactive sessions, case based learning sessions, Problem based learning, dissection/demonstrations and practical classes, through which not only we impart knowledge but inculcate critical thinking in the students.
We have highly qualified, and experienced teaching faculty as well as energetic team of demonstrators. The department has purpose built infra-structure, being furnished by Modern teaching facilities. With a Mortuary plant supported dissection hall, a Histology laboratory with Multi head teaching microscope and a resourceful Anatomy Museum, our students avail an excellent learning environment. All teaching areas are well equipped with latest technology along with IT Support.
